Programme Design in alignment with MOE Syllabus
Developing Committed Participants who demonstrate a conscious decision and action to pursue personal excellence and are a role-model to their family and friends, in leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
In Truth

Intellectual dimension- Pursuing the Truth in deepening understanding in the discipline of Physical Education and Sports Science.

Moral dimension- We seek to cultivate relationships through learning together in the subject, grounded in trust, respect, with a common purpose to be healthier in the pursuit of excellence.
In Love
-
Communal - Exercising love by role-modeling and leading their peers and family in leading an active and healthy lifestyle.

Individual- Exercising the choice to be disciplined in body as an expression of love of oneself.
By the end of Pre-University 2, students in CJC will have experienced at least 1 recreational competition organized by the school. In addition, they will develop and enact a plan for self or others to work towards a healthier lifestyle through our fitness and gym module.

Overview of Physical Education Curriculum Framework
Purpose and Goals
The purpose of Physical Education is to develop physically competent and confident individuals who enjoy a lifetime of active and healthy living safely and responsibly.
1. Movement Competence. Students are competent and confident to participate in a range of physical and outdoor activities.
2. Healthy Lifestyle Practices. Students have a personal commitment to healthy lifestyle practices in physical activity, nutrition, sleep, outdoor time and hygiene.
3. Safety Mindset. Students apply risk assessment to manage daily and physical activities with respect to self, others and the environment.
4. Core Values. Students make informed and responsible decisions with regard to personal behaviour and social interactions based on sound values-based judgements.
5. Enjoyment. Students enjoy and value physical activities and healthy living in a sustainable way.
